Manage pain when having a kidney stone

Below are some things to keep in mind when evaluating your pain on a 1-to-10-point scale.
- First, the pain from kidney stones usually occurs with lower back pain and to one side.
- Next, do not hesitate to go to an emergency room, because the pain of kidney stones is measured by those who have experienced it as a definite 10 on a 1-10 scale. If you cannot be seen by your doctor in his office, then get to the nearest emergency room ASAP.

Note: Do not take these medications on your own, but make sure that you have them administered by medical personnel to manage the excruciating pain that accompanies kidney stones.
