The Gender Differnce

On October 29, 2008, in Health News, by Pharmacyin

Morbidity is measured as the incidence or prevalence of the presence of illness or injury. Health surveys demonstrate that women have higher morbidities of a wide range of health indicators than men, including physical illness, disability days, physician visits, and drug use. Men have higher rates of more serious chronic diseases and long-term disability due to chronic conditions leading to death. Injury rates are higher among younger men, but among the elderly, women have higher rates, par ticularly for mortality. There are a number of explanations for high morbidity in women and high mortality in men.On the other hand, women have genetic resistance to diseases such as those related to Xchromosomes. Women sex hormones protect them from cardiovascular morbidity until menopause, whereas men lack such protection and are thus more susceptible to cardiovascular morbidity 10 years earlier than women. The seemingly more advantageous biological protection for women’s mortality,In a review of literature, Verbrugge  identified short& longterm morbidities and noted that in the short run women are more frequently sick, with higher rates of daily symptoms and higher incidence rates of acute illness. In the long run women have higher rates of numerous nonfatal chronic conditions that lead to abundant symptoms, disabilities, and medical care, but not to death. Men’s higher mortality is thus linked to higher rates of life-threatening chronic conditions, such as ischemic heart disease. Generally, there are varying biological susceptibilities to disease that expose men and women to differ- ent morbidities. For example, women’s unique reproductive health exposes them to specific morbid ity risks that are not present in men.

Membranous deteriorations

On October 25, 2008, in Health News, by Pharmacyin

To explain utilize of these membranous expansions, and the way in which alcohol deteriorates them, and obstructs their work, we quote again from Dr. Richardson:

Animal receives from the vegetable worldwide and from the earth the food and booze it requires for its sustenance and motion. It receives colloidal food for its muscles: combustible solid food for its motion; water for the solution of its various parts; salt for constructive&different natural purposes. These hold all to be arranged in the body; and they are arranged by means of the animal tissue envelopes. Through these membranes nothing can that is not, for the sentence, in a nation of aqueous answer, similar to H2O or soluble salts. H2O passes freely through them, salts freely through them, but the constructive matter of the active parts that is colloidal does not ; it is retained in them until it is chemically decomposed into the soluble type of matter. When we take for our food a portion of animal flesh, it is first solved, in digestion, into a soluble liquid before it can be absorbable; in the blood it is resolved into the liquid mixture term; in the solids it is laid down inside the membranes into new structure, and when it has played its section, it is digested once again, if I may so tell, into a crystalloidal resolvable substance, ready to be carried away and replaced by addition of new matter t, and so it is dialysed or passed through, the membranes into the rip, and is disposed of in the excretions.

Children safety

On October 12, 2008, in Uncategorized, by Pharmacyin

The most prevalent causes of childhood unintetional injuries vary by old age, as children grow over of some kinds of risks and into others. For lesson, injuries common in young children include falls and burns, while sportsrelated injuries are common among adolescents. However, other injuries are crucial across ages. From infancy to childly mature hood, motor vehicle crashes ar a leading cause of death; drowning and home fires ar also prevalent causes. Every home and school should teach how important safety is. Although important, the prevention of inten tional injuries is quite different from the prevention of unintentional injuries, but i cant write it now.
